BROOKLYN TOWNHOUSE RENOVATION

The renovation of this 2,300 sq ft two-family home created a classic, modern, warm, and practical house for a family of six. The one-bedroom apartment was moved from the top floor to the basement and given a new layout and finishes. All bedrooms and the main bathroom were moved from the basement to the top floor and also updated. The existing basement extension was legalized, reclad, and altered to add French doors and casement windows. Just outside that extension, a new retaining wall with bluestone coping and steps was built. A trench drain was installed for better exterior drainage, and new bluestone pavers were added.
